Qualifications

• Bachelors of Science in Nursing
• Current Nursing Registration
• Three (3) years experience

Knowledge, Skills & Competencies

• Excellent interpersonal, communication and leadership skills
• Experience in all areas of Development and Projects in  School/Educational institution environment
• Knowledge of government policies
• Computer Literate and technologically savvy

Duties & Responsibilities

• Take care of the entire College population, attending to and giving advice on matters relating to health.
• Has responsibility for assessing, planning, executing and evaluating the Colleges Health Programme.
• Deals with daily emergencies, chronic illnesses and other ailments on a daily basis.
• Assists with monitoring the maintenance of the College's sanitary facilities.
• Attends staff meeting and advises Administrators and Staff on how to cope with health emergencies.
• Makes referrrals to Dentists, Opthalmologists, Hospitals and Health Centres as is necessary.
• Keeps up to date with immunization information on all medical records.
• Sets up and managess the first aid area for special events for example, Sports Day.
• Advises school population on updated health issues and development.
• Reports immediately, to the Principal, all emergency cases and prepares monthly/quarterly reports on activities for a particular period.
• Counsels students on dietary and sanitary matters and makes referrals, where necessary.
• Conducts health and wellness sessions with students.
• Such other related duties as the Principal may assign, from time t time.
• Keeps up to date with MOH regulations and license requirements.
